In my latest art creation, two blue parakeets are seen sitting side by side, perched on a branch in the wild.
Parakeets, also known as budgies or budgerigars, (Melopsittacus undulatus) are a popular bird pet for many households around the world. They often establish long, close and lasting relationships with their human moms and dads and are considered to be the third most popular pet behind cats and dogs because of their low maintenance cost and small size. They can also often be taught to mimic human words or speech. While growing up and even as an adult, we had several parakeets over the years and most all made wonderful pets especially one named Mickey who was my constant sidekick.
